Alyssa Keira, (they/she/he) is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Ontario, Canada. They are an Indie/Folk artist who tells tales of love, nature and childlike wonder and whose songs take you on an adventure with their storytelling. They are inspired by the arts of Addison Grace, Madilyn Mei, Cavetown, and many more alike and they aim to inspire others and build a community to those who need it with their music. Their songs are often described as “relatable”, “powerful” and “emotional”, yet also “whimsical” and “comforting”, drawing inspiration from her family, deep imagination and constant daydreaming. When bringing up her music, Alyssa wants people to think about who they themselves are, use their imagination and understand that they are not alone. Alyssa intends to keep writing and telling her stories for both themself, and others.
Alyssa Keira, a 19-year-old singer, songwriter and artist from Ontario, Canada with a love for storytelling. They love to write songs ranging from deep and vulnerable pieces to soft and happy. Every song they write is carefully crafted from their heart and mind, not only for herself but for countless others.
Their love for music began when they were very young, often filling a room with their vibrant personality and never-ending singing. She would always tell her family that one day, she was going to be a singer, and she knew it to be true. That love grew and followed them to high school where they started to really take their writing and music seriously, often writing about the struggles of mental health, neurodivergence and realising that they were a part of the lgbtq+ community. In June of 2022 Alyssa reached out to their city’s pride festival coordinators and was able to book their first public performance singing some of their original songs to a warm, relating and welcoming crowd. This was the first of many performances that Alyssa would make.
Alyssa is currently studying in a competitive music program while also a member of the Canadian Musicians Cooperative, where they are learning and getting a lot of hands-on experience for the music industry. They are a part of an amazing community filled with opportunities. They are now actively performing in their community and are currently working on the release of their original music.
No matter where the pencil takes her, there will always be more stories to write and more music to share and that continues to drive Alyssa towards her artistic career.
